Types of Weight Loss Surgery

Bariatric surgery is also known as stomach stapling, weight loss surgery and obesity surgery. Several procedures have been developed, each designed to achieve dramatic weight reduction by restricting the flow of food or inhibiting its absorption.

The surgeons of Allied Surgical Group perform three types of weight loss procedures:

.Lap-Band® Adjustable Gastric Banding

.Gastric Bypass Surgery

.StomaphyX

Allied Surgical Group surgeons have refined each of these procedures to offer the lowest possible risk, with an incidence of complications far below the national average, using minimally invasive laparoscopic techniques.

Around 30 percent of Allied Surgical Group's patients eventually achieve normal weight after the surgery, and the rest succeed in losing large amounts of weight - between 50 and 300 pounds - and keeping it off.

Lap-Band is a registered trademark of Lap-Band AP System.
"After trying every diet unsuccessfully, I decided to have Lap-Band surgery. It takes work to watch what you eat and exercise after the procedure, but if you stay focused and remain positive, the results will speak for themselves."
