Edward R. McLean Jr., M.D. F.A.C.S.
Dr. McLean holds a bachelor's degree from Princeton University and is a graduate of Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, New York. He completed his internship and residency at Roosevelt Hospital, New York, and earned a Fellowship in Cardiovascular Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine, Houston.
Board certified in general surgery and surgical critical care, he is also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a Fellow of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, and a Registered Vascular Technologist.
He is Vice Chairman of the Department of Surgery at Morristown Memorial Hospital, where he is an attending surgeon.
Dr. McLean takes great pride in teaching the hospital's surgical residents. In 2000 the residents awarded him with the John Alkhas Memorial Award, given to the attending surgeon who best exemplifies patience, compassionate care, surgical skills and commitment to teaching.
