William L. Diehl, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Dr. Diehl is a board-certified general surgeon and surgical oncologist at Allied Surgical Group and an attending surgeon at Morristown Memorial Hospital and Saint Clare's Hospital. With extensive expertise in surgical oncology, he has a special interest in breast cancer and was one of the first surgeons to perform sentinel node mapping. Other areas of interest include tumors of the pancreas, liver, biliary tract and esophagus; melanoma; colon and rectal surgery; thyroid surgery; and other head and neck cancers.
Dr. Diehl was the first to perform Single Site Laparoscopy (SSL), also known as Single Incision Laparoscopic Surgery (SILS), at Morristown Memorial Hospital and has used the procedure for appendectomies, colectomies, gallbladder removal and other surgeries.
In its annual survey of physicians, New Jersey Monthly magazine chose him as one of the top doctors in the state.
